Sustainability at Maamis didn't begin as a campaign. It is how this business has always worked — spices grown, cleaned and ground close to home, with land, water and people treated as things to steward rather than spend.
As we grow, we're turning that instinct into discipline: cleaner energy at our unit, measured use of water in every wash and grind, and partnerships that keep farmers farming the same fields their families always have.
We buy from growers we know by name, at fair prices — so good spice land stays in spice.
Washing, grinding and cleaning are planned around measured water use, with reuse where the process allows.
Every stage is tuned so more of each harvest reaches a pack — and by-products go back to farms, not landfill.
Clean energy at the unit and smarter logistics keep each pack's journey as light as we can make it.
We track energy, water and waste across sourcing, cleaning, grinding and packing.
Targets go where the loads are biggest — energy at the unit, water in processing.
Buying closer to home, moving in fuller loads and paying farmers on fair, long-term terms.
We report what changed — and where we still have work to do.
Ask us how your next order is sourced, powered and packed — the answers are part of the product.
